solidity is an illusion.
 
created during pride week in jamaica, which coincides with emancipation & independence. this year (2021), emancipendence pride felt like honouring the fluidity within my genderlessness while raising awareness of and honouring the often forgotten taino peoples indigenous to jamaica.
 
it is a reminder that if you slow everything down, nothing is still, nothing is solid. everything is always in motion. in the same light, may we give more grace to the movement of being human and stop requiring stagnation as a condition for love
